Marnie asked us to help create a softie of a special car for her son Brayden, age 12. Brayden loves cars and had produced many drawings of them over the years. Marnie thought it would be nice to get one of his car drawings ‘made real’ as a gift for his 13th birthday, and it would be a lovely souvenir of his childhood art that he could take with him into his teens. Marnie got Brayden to find his favorite picture and show it to her again. He found a painting that he had done of one of his dad’s cars. It was, he said the one he had spent the most time on. It was sitting on their coffee table one day, and it got a whole glass of ginger ale spilled on it. Marnie’s big 12 year old immediately began crying! He had been crying on and off ever since, whenever he thought of his favorite picture being ruined. He told Marnie he had kept his drawing on the desk upstairs in his room where he paints, draws, and does model cars for over three years without a problem! After finding out about this, we were even more determined to assist to make his drawing into a softie that he would love and cherish for years to come:
